The perennial strata issues continue when there is human factor involved.During the COVID-19 pandemic, most people were forced to work from home. With more occupants at home and close proximity, there were more negative reports about noise, pets, cleanliness and more.
More subsidiary proprietors also scrutinized the Building Maintenance & Strata Management Act 2004 . Several decisions of the Strata Titles Board were challenged at the High Court.

About 30,000 buildings, many of which are also strata developments, are required to undergo façade inspection within the first seven-year inspection cycle after a new legislation, the Building Control (Periodic Inspection of Buildings and Building Facades) Regulations 2021came into effect.
From time to time, we read about the servers of corporate entities been hacked into and companies were taken to task for their inadequate protection and breach of the Personal Data Protection Act. There were also incidents of poor practices that led to companies been penalised or reprimanded by the Personal Data Protection Commission. There are valuable lessons to learn to protect ourselves in this cyber environment.
