Arc at Tampines units put up for MCST sale at $880,000 and $720,000

It is mandatory for the subsidiary proprietors to contribute to all levies approved at general meetings of a strata development. But what should strata managers do on behalf of the MCST when subsidiary proprietors fail to fulfill their obligation to do so?

There are certain legal recourse provided for the MCST to recover arrears in maintenance fees. In accordance to the BMSMA, the MCST can look into three available options:

a.    Civil Action
b.    Statutory Charge
c.    Private Summon

What would these options entail? More explanations  of the three options are provided in A Practical Guide to Strata Management in Singapore (Second Edition). You may obtain a hard copy at https://lnkd.in/gqA7Ek2
