MCSTs must, amongst others, take steps to regularly assess and identify the risks of COVID-19 transmission which may arise from activities carried out in the strata developments. MCSTs are required to apply internal policies, procedures and controls to mitigate such risks from the activities at the common area. This implies that if there were congregation of occupants that constantly breached the safe management measures, an MCST must stop such congregation and when needed, such activity is to be stopped and the facility concerned may have to be closed. MCSTs, together with residents/occupants, have a collective responsibility, to ensure that the strata community is safe.
