Castle Green Care and Give Charity Drive 2023.
The Management Corporation ST 2178 of Castle Green(MCST) supported by Wisely 98 Pte Ltd and Yio Chu Kang Constituency jointly brought an early Chinese New Year (CNY) cheer to 220 households at Blk 626 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 this morning (15 Jan 2023). This was the first Care and Give Charity Drive led by Wisely 98 Pte Ltd, the Managing Agent for Castle Green at Yio Chu Kang Constituency.
A team of about 60 persons comprising council members & residents of Castle Green and staff of Wisely 98 Pte Ltd started the distribution of CNY goodies at 9am. Every household at Blk 626 was distributed with items such as rice, milo, cooking oil and canned food.All fund for this charity were raised from residents and service providers of Castle Green, Wisely 98 Pte Ltd and its staff.
Mr Yip Hon Weng, the Advisor to Yio Chu Kang Grassroots’ Organisation expressed appreciation and thanked the MCST and its Managing Agent for initiating and executing this charity drive. This charity was not a grassroot initiative and was therefore unique, as it showed the good of the Constituency with people giving and caring for others in the neighbourhood.
This charity brought residents from a private estate closer to residents at a public housing estate, creating that bonding of Kampong Spirit that may be duplicated in other MCSTs and constituencies in Singapore. The surplus from the fund raised was later donated to Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities, THK Active Aging Centre @Ang Mo Kio.
