The built-environment has been lacking behind other sectors in adopting techonolgy. There is a need for changes for a complete success value chain, from top to bottom, from developers, to consultants,to builders, to property managers to every single service provider serving the built environment and of course, the end users, meaning the willingness of every occupant to accepting the changes. These changes involve every aspect of work flows, from reporting a fault to investigating the fault, to inviting proposal for rectification ,to submission of proposal, to recommendation ,to rectification, to payment , finalising and closing. This is a long value chain. With improvement in technology, why not? Already man has landed on the moon and many missions been to Mars, why not these upcoming changes for the built-environment?
